I’ve been thinking long and hard recently about how I’m approaching photography. There was one point a couple years ago where I totally gave up on digital photography. I sold my Canon 50D, lenses, and I picked up the Leica M3 I currently have in my possession. Up until Christmas last year, all I shot was film (I LOVED IT). Five months ago, I bought myself a Fujifilm X100, but now I feel like I’m neglecting my M. I kind of want to make the switch back to just shooting film again. Maybe even switch my M3 for an M4-P or an M6 classic and convert the money I get from the X100 into a 35mm or 50mm Summicron…

I love my contacts on flickr. It amazes me sometimes how wonderful they’re able to capture photos that are so beautiful. This one makes me wish I lived in Portugal.

Hey You! Yes you! The anon that kept asking me about Pentax cameras two months ago. If you’re stilling following me then I hope you see this. Ricoh has decided to create Pentax-Ricoh Imaging Systems so the Pentax name still exists. It’s a good time to pick up a Pentax dSLR if you haven’t gotten one already. They released new colors for the K-r (lol, as if they don’t have a bunch of color options already).

this is my first film camera that I bought for myself. it’s a Pentax (Honeywell was the US importer) Spotmatic F. I got it for $50 on adorama a long time ago. It fell out of my camera bag and the drop made the Cds meter go crazy so this camera has mainly sat on my shelf as a display piece since then (with the exception of having to wind and fire 20 frames every month to keep the shutter lubed). I use my Leicas a ton more but I would love to buy another Spotmatic F…too bad I probably can’t find one like mine with exc++ exterior.
